League V: Channing Shares the Wealth

In 2009’s World Series of Poker Main Event, Neil Channing famously had a percentage of James Akenhead’s action as he battled his way to the final table as one of the November Nine. With League V, Black Belt Poker are offering you that very same opportunity.

Commencing on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, League V will take place over seven weeks with the final leg concluding on Tuesday, July 6. The highest scoring player over the course of the League will earn himself one percent of Neil Channing’s action in the $10,000 WSOP Main Event.

A Vegas veteran, Channing boasts 21 WSOP cashes, including a $71,858 cash in last year’s $40,000. He is also the 2008 Irish Open Champion and finished second in the 2009 London GUKPT to bring his live tournaments winnings to a near $2.5 million. Now’s your chance to get a piece of the action and win a potential $100,000!

As before, the legs will be $5+0.5 No Limit Hold’em Freezeouts starting at 7.30pm with players free to join at any point. This time, however, the scoring system has been modified so as to reward those who make the final. The top ten at the end of the League will also be awarded a free DeucesCracked monthly subscription token, whilst second to ninth will also earn Belt Points.

The Black Belt Poker League is open to all Yellow Belts and above. To become a Yellow Belts is easy: download the cardroom software, link your account, and make a minimum deposit.
