The waiting is finally over; in just over 12 hours, the Black Belt Live train will be making it's first ever stop in Stratford for the East End Live, a $200+20 deep-stacked tournament with a 15,000 starting stack and 40-minute blinds.
As with previous events, we're going coco-nuts with our bounties by serving up a total of 16 scalps to vie for, with 8 entering Day 1A with a red target on the chest.
Three of those will be our Black Belts: Richard Ashby, Sam Razavi and Neil Channing, all of whom will be seeking to prove their Belt status and end the three-day tournament with their Bounty Bar in tact.
Joining them in the 'dangerzone' are online pro Nik Persaud, Academy mentor Alex Rousso, and Brown Belt Warren Wooldridge, the latter of whom earned his Belt when he came third in a $1,000 WSOP Event last year for $288,946.
Hitting the felt alongside the aforementioned celebrities will be League XIII Champion Adam JHobbit1 Saunders, who - along with runner-ups Mark 99Ranny Ranson and Stewart Stewboi Morrison - won a seat to a Black Belt Live event of his choosing.
A hugely popular figure, Adam has competed in all Black Belt Live events (including a cash in Nottingham), and will likely be appearing at the next event after winning a second seat in our weekly Orange Belt Freerolls.
Last, but certainly not least, is reigning Black Belt Live Champion Stuart Hyson, affectionately nicknamed The Dyson after his innate ability to suck up the chips in Nottingham.
Stuart won a total of $15,500 at Dusk Till Dawn, which included an additional $1,500 courtesy of his Orange Belt: 10 percent added to his prize, and $100 for eliminating Nick Wealthall. Now Stuart has the perhaps unenviable honour of being a bounty himself, and offering a taste of paradise to anyone who dares to remove him from the event.
This time, prizes will be centred on our upcoming Samurai event on Thursday, May 3:
Yellow Belt: 2 x Samurai satellite tokens ($8+0.80)
Orange Belt: $100 and Samurai satellite token ($30+3)
Purple Belt+: entry into Samurai ($250+25)
