Good & Bad News

Greetings, all, and welcome to the first ever Black Belt Poker live update - the GUKPT London 2009 in association with Blue Square Poker.

I come bearing both good and bad news:

Good...
  • We have acquired the talents of two of poker's most skilled reporters: Chris 'NoflopsHomer' Hall and Jen 'Djinn' Mason. They may not look like much, but, in the world of poker updating, these dudes are the proverbial dog's love spheres, and we're honoured to have them on board.
  • Not only will we be covering the £1,500 Main Event from 26-29th March, but Jen will also be keeping a close eye on the £2,500 Heads-Up event on 19-25th March in which some of the game's biggest names will be going tête-à-tête to capture Kevin O'Leary's crown.
  • Snoopy won't be blogging, so you shall be spared any of his bad jokes, abysmal puns and worthless musings.
Bad...
  • Sadly, this live update/blog is just a one-off and we have no immediate plans to ambush the live circuit.
We're essentially running a very basic blog, but we hope that despite our lack of modern technology, the standard of writing from our esteemed and experienced updaters will serve up a ringside view that you won't find elsewhere.

Kick off is at 3pm on Thursday, March 19, 2009 - be there or be circle.

  1. I was enjoying the intro until this...

    "be there or be circle"

I'm now a little worried about reading the updates for fear of it reducing my will to live!
