Pros Tested, Others Steal A March

There's a lot of empty seats in the tournament area as many of the players didn't set off early enough and have been caught up by the G20 protests going on in the city today. On table 7, they're currently playing 5 handed as Tony Dobson, Spencer Lawrence, Chaz Chattha and Jeff Kimber have all yet to turn up yet.

Meanwhile someone who wishes he probably hadn't turned up yet is Mark Teltscher, he was all-in on a 9h-3h-5s flop with 9d-4h against Jamie Brown's Jh-Th but was drawing dead when the 6h came on the turn leaving the 3s river to be purely academic. Another exit is Trevor Pearson who pushed with Kh-3h but found one of yesterday's chip leaders Luke Trotman, taking him on with Ad-Th which flopped an Ace and that was that.

Ben Vinson has added to his stack having reraised Trevor Reardon's button raise of 3,400 to 9,400, but given Vinson's fairly lairy reputation Reardon took a long time to fold, but when he did he was rewarded with seeing a pair of Nines shown to him.
