Meanwhile, In the Tournament

Ben Vinson is playing a hand pretty much every time I pass by his table. He has been all day. If there were one person still in at the end of play today who has none of the initial actual chips he started the day with, but a totally shuffled, won-and-lost-and-won-again stack, it would be him.

Just now I saw him play a hand where he got to the flop with three other players. Two checks, Vinson bets 3,900 after seeing the 3c-5h-Qh flop, one player opts out there but both Ali Zihni and Rumit Somaiya call out of position. The turn brings the 6s. A slow check from Zihni, who painstakingly counted out his own stack and thought for so long I didn't notice he'd checked, check from Somaiya... Vinson fires 10k though. Both opponents consider this second barrel for a while, but neither were prepared to take him on.

Elsewhere: Spencer Lawrence now has nearly 70k. Remember him from like the first update today? Well he's moved tables, he's up there in the top five chip-wise and if you want my early guess I pick him for a comfortable Day Two and beyond.
