Not Teltscher's O'Dea
Mark Teltscher hasn't been climbing the way he often does in the few events he plays (Vic big buy-ins more likely than most to tempt him out) - in fact his stack is still modest-to-low. Just now, too, he came close to a double through situation, but just look at his face after it was all over. He saw a flop of Ac-2h-Qd with button Eoghan O'Dea, betting out 3,400 - more than the pot - fairly quickly. O'Dea called. The turn paired the Queen, and both players checked. The river, however, brought the Ad - after a bit of a dwell Teltscher shipped the lot in, snapped by O'Dea who flipped over Ah-Jh. Teltscher shook his head a bit and looked sad for about half a minute before turning over his own hand - so much so that I was anticipating looking at a losing pair of cards. But no - his hand had been As-Kd and he was ruing the split.
