It really didn't look like Vach Nankoosing, who'd quietly progressed thus far with a calmly confident air, got off the starting blocks at all today against tough opponent Tom Bentham. Bentham took down almost every pot, and certainly all pots with a stack-affecting size to them. After the reported hands, the dealer shrugged saying Nankoosing had really seemed card dead, and not at all happy about it. Both players walked silently off into the cardroom after it was all over, like ghosts moving back into the comforting Casino on the Marie Celeste.
