Bentham's Preserved Head-Start

A big early pot played out just at the end of the 25/50 level saw Vach Nankoosing betting out 525 on a flop of 6s-8c-Qc, raised to 2,025 by Tom Bentham. The turn brought the 5s and some checking, but the river 2d was interesting because the Deuce being a brick, after Nankoosing checked, Bentham bet 3,825 and was pretty quickly called. Nankoosing mucked, however, after Bentham's cards were shown to be the 7s-9s for the turned straight.
