Victoria suits Victoria
Vicky Coren, London EPT winner, is as comfortable in the environs of the Vic as can be - as evidenced by her 60k stack. A few chips have drifted back here and there on her table - as when she bluffed the river on a Q-6-2-7-9 board to the tune of 3,200, only to be check-called by Thomas Macdonald who showed Qh-8h. Somewhat surprised that Macdonald had raised in early position with such a hand, he defended himself with a grin: "It's time to loosen up now, the antes are in."
She fired one bullet postflop against Stasia Xanthos, too (on the As-9c-Qs flop), getting rid of a third player who'd taken a peek at the flop, but picking up Xanthos. They both checked it down then as it came Kh-8c - with Xanthos' Qc-Tc taking the small pot. "That wins," said Coren, mucking, before adding, "What is it?" putting on glasses with which to bring the other end of the table into focus. These were then removed before I could get a before/after photo, but they're quite snappy.
