Never Trust Cowboys

Well, they're a pretty good hand, especially if you're stack could do with a boost. Even better if you can get the lot in pre against A-K, which is exactly what Jo Handman did, re-raising preflop and finding Matthaios Armeftis putting in enough to commit to calling when she moved in. A harmless board fell, but just one card could have done all the damage...

...like it did over on a neighbouring table quickly thereafter: Adam Stoneham raised preflop to 1k in early position (this in itself is a far from unusual occurrance) and Nicholas Fellone flat called. So did the button - small blind Mike Tse then shoved for 8,375. No interest from the initial raiser, but Fellone called with two red Kings. Tse, however, spiked the Ac straight away on the flop, and having shot into the lead remained there getting a much needed double up.
